Three Gambian senior Fifa/Caf Coach Educators,Sang John Ndong, Alagie Sillah, and Lamin Sambou have earned the ‘Fifa Coach Educators’ Diploma’ from the world football governing body after completing the Fifa Coach Educators’ Development Pathway.
All three completed every stage of the pathway. In its citation, Fifa commented that “the trio demonstrated commitment, expertise, and potential to contribute to developing future coaches.”
Their journey began in 2019 with a workshop in Thies, Senegal, followed by an online mentoring programme in 2022 and an on-site visit from their mentor to The Gambia that same year.
This was preceded by online classes in 2023, an on-site visit from a FIFA Expert in 2025, and ended with the final assessment in Kigali, Rwanda, in 2026.
