Fellow Gambians at home and in the Diaspora,
As we approach the historic Presidential Election of December 5th, 2026, the momentum of the National People’s Party (NPP) continues to grow stronger by the day.
The recent decision by major opposition parties, notably the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) of Hon. Mamma Kandeh, APP-Sobeyaa of Hon. Essa Mbye Faal and Prof. Yaffa of GMP to join forces with the NPP is not a mere coincidence. This follows the earlier merger of several other opposition groups into our great party. This has never happened in the history of this country. President Barrow is making history day in day out.
Berest assured that we are negotiating with party leaders that you are not expecting. Because we want to save the resources of the nation from waste, as going to pulls this December will be a waste of time and resources.
We are living no stone unturn to see the joining and matching of other opposition parties, especially our own old compound, UDP, NDP and UMC(UNITE) into the grand alliance soon. Discussions are ongoing. In the event this happens, meaning there will be only one person on the ballot box that is HE President Adams Barrow.
These developments are a clear and undeniable indication that the Government of His Excellency President Adama Barrow is on the right track. These former opposition leaders and their supporters have seen the light.
I therefore called on all Gambians in the Diaspora to join hands with President Adama Barrow for the continued development of our beloved motherland.
To our serious and patriotic diaspora community, I want to assure you that the remittances you send home are being put to good use. Your hard-earned money is powering our economy and transforming lives. Under President Barrow, your investments are fully protected and guaranteed by the rule of law.
To those who are interested in investing, I advise you: come home and invest now. The Gambia today has all it takes to invest. The environment has been created. Before President Barrow, many Gambians were afraid to invest in this country. That fear is now history.
The current dimension of development today does not only stop at government services. Individual businesses are doing extremely well. Business is booming. Infrastructure development is no longer limited to government projects alone.
Before President Barrow, the tallest buildings in The Gambia were the Central Bank and Petroleum House. Today, you have skyscrapers and modern edifices across the length and breadth of The Gambia. This is tangible evidence of private sector confidence in our economy.
The economic growth rate(Real GDP) is at 5.7% for 2025 with projection around 5.3 in 2026. inflation is at a low rate of 6.5% percent as of August 2026, which shows prudent economic management.
Finally, I call on our Gambian diaspora experts, professionals and technocrats to come and contribute your expertise to national development. The enabling environment has been created for you to thrive.
Together, we will secure a resounding victory on December 5th to continue building the Gambia we want.
Long live President Adama Barrow!
Long live the NPP!
Long live The Gambia!
