Press release
FyeN, in partnership with the QGroup, is proud to announce the upcoming release of The Story of Muhammed Jah: From Little Ideas, Big Things Grow, a new children’s book that introduces young readers to the inspiring journey of Gambian entrepreneur and business leader Muhammed Jah.
Through an engaging and beautifully illustrated story, the book explores Muhammed Jah’s early experiences, ideas, determination, and entrepreneurial journey. At its heart is a simple message:
big things can grow from little ideas when we believe in ourselves and have the courage to pursue our dreams.
The book is designed to give young Gambians an opportunity to see a successful individual from their own community represented in a story created specifically for children. It highlights themes of dreaming boldly, perseverance, creativity, innovation, leadership, and believing in what is possible.
A national impact campaign: The Q Read Initiative
The launch will also mark the beginning of an ambitious impact campaign with a goal of placing 10,000 copies of the book in the hands of children across all seven regions of The Gambia.
FyeN and QGroup are inviting businesses, organisations, foundations, schools, community leaders, and individuals to become sponsors and partners by supporting the purchase and distribution of books to schools, libraries, and communities.
The campaign is rooted in the belief that children’s books can do more than entertain—they can inspire ambition, build confidence, celebrate African achievement, and help children imagine their own possibilities.
